Charities and community groups encouraged to apply for People’s Postcode Lottery funding
Murdo Fraser MSP is encouraging charities and community groups in Perth and Kinross to apply for funding, with grants of £20,000 available.
The People’s Postcode Trust, the Postcode Community Trust and the Postcode Local Trust all open for applications on February 6.
These trusts are all funded by players of the People’s Postcode Lottery.
Applications to apply for grants of between £500 and £20,000 are open until February 20.
Murdo Fraser commented: “I would encourage charities and community groups in Perth and Kinross to apply for funding through these trusts. They support a wide diverse range of projects.
“For instance, the People’s Postcode Trust supports projects which focus on the prevention of poverty, promotion of human rights and combatting discrimination. Meanwhile, the Postcode Community Trust backs initiatives that are focussed on improving health and well-being through grassroots sports, reducing isolation, arts and physical recreation.
“And the Postcode Local Trust helps projects that support green space improvements, increasing access to outdoor spaces, renewable energy and flood prevention.”
