Murdo Visits SSE Training Centre in Perth

Scottish Conservative MSP Murdo Fraser recently visited the SSE training centre in Perth.

The politician, who represents the Mid Scotland and Fife region, met some apprentices from SSE along with pupils from Pitlochry High School who were there to learn about careers.

Mr Fraser’s visit to the training centre, located at the Inveralmond Industrial Estate in Perth, took place during Scottish Apprenticeship week.

He said: “I had an enjoyable visit to the SSE training centre in Perth to mark Scottish Apprenticeship week. I met some apprentices and some pupils from Pitlochry High who were there to learn about careers.

“It was very interesting to hear of the opportunities that are available for apprentices at a company like SSE. I feel it is very beneficial and important to have apprenticeship opportunities like those provided at SSE.

“Apprenticeships and work-based learning can provide the skills needed for a successful young workforce for Scotland.”

Scottish Apprenticeship week saw activities and events take place across the country.
